Aida Gholami is a PhD Researcher at Leiden University, studying media representation and power dynamics in Nordic cinema and focusing on the marginalization of the migrant community and the concept of Nordic whiteness. She is currently conducting interdisciplinary research in film studies, postcolonial theory, and media analysis, contributing to cultural visibility and social justice discussions. Before coming to Leiden for her research master in Arts, Literature and Media (Leiden University), she obtained a master in English Language and Literature from the University of Tabriz.
