Koen Dekeyser is a policy analyst in ECDPM's sustainable food systems and climate action and green transition teams.

Koen’s interests lie in the intersection of food systems, change and food governance, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.

Before joining ECDPM, Koen was a research fellow at the DST-NRF Centre of Excellence in Food Security in South Africa. Koen holds a PhD in political economy from the University of Pretoria.  He is also a research fellow at the Centre for the Study of Governance Innovation in Pretoria.
