Michael Delli Carpini is Professor of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication, serving as Dean from 2003 to 2018.
Delli Carpini's research explores the role of the citizen in democratic politics, with particular emphasis on the impact of mass media and information and communications technologies on public opinion, public deliberation, political knowledge, and political participation.
The intention is to gather scientific insights about major societal challenges in LIAS on the basis of international and interdisciplinary consultation.
