Robert Jezke is Head of Strategy, Analysis and Auction Unit & Centre for Climate and Energy Analyses (CAKE) at The National Centre for Emissions Management.

He has 20 years of experience in the EU ETS, climate & energy policy and sustainable development. Serving as a government expert during negotiations of the EU Climate & Energy Package in 2008 and its implementation in the following years 2009-2021.

Robert Jeszke is co-author of the architecture of the financing mechanism for climate protection in Poland - Green Investment Scheme (GIS). Polish national expert for evaluation of policies and measures nominated to the UNFCCC Roster of Experts.

Member of the government delegation at several COPs. He participated in various workgroups and taskforces dealing with environmental and climate policy, economy of climate change and emissions trading systems. Coordinator of two LIFE projects: Climate CAKE PL and LIFE VIIEW2050. Editor-in-chief of the "Report on the CO2 market" monthly published by KOBiZE since 2012 and the publication "GO2'50”.

Societal Aspects of Climate Change

Which global changes are needed to achieve the goals of the 2015 Paris climate agreement? How can policy stimulate these transitions in the most effective and efficient way, given the diversity of economic, political and cultural contexts of different countries around the world, and given the enormous global investments needed for these Paris goals?

A healthy public debate about important societal challenges requires a common and scientifically sound basis.
