Samuel De Xun Chua studied at the National University of Singapore conducting extensive research on the hydro-geomorphology of the Mekong River and its evolution over time. He also investigated climate change impacts in Southeast Asia, emphasizing on geographical perspectives and explored how physical changes due to climate extremes affect local populations. Today he is a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, investigating environmental changes in higher latitudes and their glocal impacts.
