Lecture and debate
(in English)
Thursday 24 October from 19.00-21.00 - Aula Zeger Van Hee, Tiensestraat 41, 3000 Leuven
Europe ended the refugee crisis by preventing refugees from travelling to Europe on the basis of agreements with countries such as Turkey and Tunisia. The architect of the agreement with Turkey was Gerald Knaus. In this public lecture we let Gerald Knaus explain why he found that plan relevant and what he thinks about the concrete implementation of his plan. In the panel discussion after his lecture, we will give the floor to state secretary Nicole De Moor, Caroline Zickgraf (Université de Liège) and Steven Van Hecke (KU Leuven). Helder De Schutter (Institute of Philosophy, KU Leuven) will moderate the debate.
