The Leuven Institute for Advanced Study (LIAS) is organising an interdisciplinary consultation between top scientists on the Societal Aspects of Climate Change in May 2022.

Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, is coming to Leuven on 17 May for a lecture in the 'Ambassador's Lectures' series with the title 'Tackling the Climate Crisis in a New World'. This event will take place in the Quadrivium in Heverlee from 14.30-15.30. Click here for more information.

With LIAS we will organise a follow-up discussion with our Fellows, the members of the Leuven Metaforum working group on Social Aspects of Climate Change, some members of the Board and a number of external guests. The discussion will be led by Katja Biedenkopf. We would like to invite you to stay for a bite and a drink at the Holland College afterwards.
